FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse heads to Emmitsburg, Md. this weekend for the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. The second-seeded Stags won a share of the MAAC Regular Season Title to earn a bye to the semifinal round, where they will meet third-seeded Siena on Friday, May 2 at 4 p.m. The tournament is being hosted by top-seeded Mount St. Mary's.
The Stags are playing for their ninth MAAC Championship and NCAA postseason bid. Last season, Head Coach
Laura Field's squad earned the first-ever at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in Fairfield or MAAC Women's Lacrosse history. Fairfield has reached the NCAA postseason in sixth consecutive seasons.
Fairfield is 9-7 this season included a 7-1 mark against MAAC foes. Fairfield opened the MAAC slate on March 22 with 16-6 win at Siena. The Saints merited the conference's third seed with a 6-2 record as a part of a 9-8 overall tally. Siena hosted and defeated seventh-seeded Quinnipiac to reach the semifinals.
Friday's first semifinal will pit the host Mount St. Mary's against fourth-seeded Iona. The MAAC Championship Game is slated for Sunday, May 4 at 11 a.m. live on ESPNU.
