FAIRFIELD, Conn. – After taking the field last Saturday at The Mount, Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse heads toward the other extreme of the MAAC geographic footprint for a Wednesday, April 9 contest at Canisius. Opening draw in Buffalo is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Fairfield University Stags (5-7, 3-1 MAAC)
- The Stags were clipped at The Mount, 10-7, on Saturday to take the first blemish on their MAAC record.
- At the midway point in the league slate, the Stags are tied with Niagara (who they will not play this season) at 3-1. The Mount and Iona are both unbeaten at 4-0.
- Kelly Haggerty scored two goals against Mount St. Mary's to cap a seven-point week. She currently shares the team high of 27 goals with Grace Slater, and her 34 points are second only to Slater's 44.
- Amanda Kozak is Fairfield's leader in conference play with 17 points, while Haggerty has netted 13 goals in four MAAC outings.
- In the cage, Keira Furey holds a .492 save percentage and an 8.22 goals-against average against league foes.
Canisius University Golden Griffins (5-7, 2-2 MAAC)
- Canisius most recently dropped an 11-10 overtime game at Marist to fall to 2-2 in the MAAC as a part of a 5-7 overall tally.
- The Stags and Griffs have both lost to The Mount but did not share any non-conference opponents.
- Four Griffs have tallied between 25 and 28 points, led by Maggie Fitzgerald with a team-best 21 goals along with seven assists.
- Megan Previdi has dished out 18 assists for Canisius while scoring eight markers.
- Olivia Licardi has played the entirety of 11 of Canisius' 12 games, including every minute of league play. She owns an 11.76 goals-against average and a .406 save percentage, improving those numbers to a 9.87 GAA and .452 save percentage in MAAC contests.

- Fairfield has won the last eight meetings in the series to take a 22-12 lead.
