Stags Bolster Frontcourt with Addition of Ryan Zan

Zan comes to Fairfield after three seasons at La Salle

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield University Men's Basketball has announced the addition of Ryan Zan to the Stags' roster for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The 6-6 forward from Princeton, N.J. spent the last three seasons at La Salle, where he played 50 games for the Explorers over the last two campaigns.

"Ryan will be a strong addition to our frontcourt. He can finish at the rim and stretch the defense from the perimeter," said Head Coach Chris Casey. "He will also contribute as a rebounder and a post defender. We look forward to having him on campus as a part of the Fairfield Basketball family."

Zan had a three-year tenure at La Salle, including a redshirt season, and joins the Stags with two years of eligibility. He played 50 games at La Salle, averaging 2.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. Zan shot .526 from the field for the Explorers, highlighted by a .400 mark from three-point range, and recorded 16 assists, 10 blocks and 21 assists. He entered the starting lineup for the Atlantic 10 Tournament, posting nine points and five rebounds in the win over UMass followed by season highs of 11 points and seven boards against Saint Joseph's.

Zan was a multi-time member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Prior to entering the collegiate ranks, Zan played at Rutgers Prep, where he averaged 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game as a senior.
