League-High Four Stags Earn All-MAAC Honors

Crowe and Summers tabbed for First Team, rookies Burke and Ditzinger land on Second Team

EDISON, N.J. – A conference-leading four members of Fairfield University Men's Golf have been named All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, as announced this morning by the league. Peter Crowe and Colin Summers were tabbed for the All-MAAC First Team, while rookies Tadgh Burke and Rasmus Ditzinger were selected to the All-MAAC Second Team.

This season marks the first time that All-MAAC honors were voted upon as a season-long award. Previously, All-MAAC honorees were denoted solely as the top finishers at the MAAC Championship. The league's major awards – Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year – will be determined at the conclusion of this weekend's Championship.

Crowe was Fairfield's top finisher in four of eight tournaments this season. He posted a 73.7 scoring average through 18 rounds (+2 to par) with six rounds of par or better. Crowe turned in four top-six individual finishes, highlighted by medalist honors at the Battle at Rum Pointe – leading the Stags to the team title at the event.

Summers earned All-MAAC First Team honors as Fairfield's most consistent player this year. The senior carded an average round of 72.7 (+1.1 to par) with a team-best nine rounds of par or better. Summers was Fairfield top finisher at the UConn Invitational and the SHU Spring Break Invite, which mark two of his team-leading six top-10 finishes in eight tournaments this season.

Burke has carded an average round of 75.6 (+3.9 to par) while playing in seven tournaments as a rookie. He fired five rounds at par or better, including all three of his rounds at the Loyola Intercollegiate as he set the pace for the Stags at the tournament. Burke finished in fifth place overall at the Battle at Rum Pointe to help propel Fairfield to the tournament title.

Ditzinger's freshman campaign was highlighted by a ninth-place finish at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate and a team-leading seventh-place performance at the Lehigh Invitational. The rookie from Täby, Sweden has posted an average round of 75.3 (+3.6 to par) in 18 rounds over eight tournaments this season.

Burke and Ditzinger are two of only four freshmen to earn All-MAAC honors, alongside fellow Second Team selections Róbert Leó Arnórsson of Manhattan and Kai-Jun Huang of Merrimack.

The MAAC also released its All-Academic Team on Wednesday. The Stags placed three student-athletes on the ledger: Anthony Naples (Finance and Business Analytics), Colin Summers (Finance) and Joey Vandergeest (Finance).

The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship tees off from Disney's Magnolia Golf Course on Thursday, April 17 with the first of three rounds in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The winning team and top individual finisher after 54 holes will earn the MAAC's automatic berths to the NCAA postseason.
