The graduate student had 16 points across two wins last week

EDISON, N.J. – After posting back-to-back eight-point games, Amanda Kozak has been named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. Kozak racked up five goals and 11 assists as Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse dispatched Canisius and Manhattan to move to 5-1 in MAAC play.

Kozak's first eight-point outing came in Buffalo, where she had two goals with six assists in the 20-9 win at Canisius. She added a hat trick with five more helpers on Saturday as Fairfield raced past Manhattan, 20-6. Kozak took five shots and scored on them all during the past week. As a team, the Stags scored 20 goals in consecutive games for the first time since 2008.

Kozak has tallied 47 points this season with 24 goals and a team-leading 23 assists. She ranks third in the MAAC in assists per game (1.64) and fifth in points per contest (3.36). In Fairfield's six MAAC games to date, Kozak leads the conference in assists (20) and total points (33).

The Stags conclude the home portion of the regular season on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. visit from Sacred Heart. The Pioneers are 6-7 overall and 4-2 in the MAAC after a Saturday win at fellow league newcomer Merrimack.
