Fairfield Hosts Quinnipiac for Wednesday Matinee

Admission is free for all fans

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse returns to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium to host in-state MAAC foe Quinnipiac on Wednesday, April 2. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m. Admission is free for all fans to all Fairfield Women's Lacrosse regular season home games this season.

  • Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day: All Fairfield University faculty and staff receive a concessions voucher.
  • Most Valuable Professor: Members of the team will select faculty/staff members to be recognized at halftime of the game as their Most Valuable Professor.
 
Fairfield University Stags (4-6, 2-0 MAAC)
  • Fairfield put together its second consecutive 10-goal win to start league play, racing past Rider by a 17-7 count this past Saturday at Rafferty Stadium.
  • Amanda Kozak dished out a career-high six assists to go along with a hat trick en route to MAAC Player of the Week honors. Kozak's nine points were one shy of the Fairfield program record.
  • Keira Furey made eight saves in the cage, the first time that the rookie goalkeeper has been over 50 percent in a game this year.
  • On the season, Grace Slater continues to lead the attack, ranking second in the MAAC with 44 points comprised of 27 goals and 17 assists.
  • Brynn Donnelly has kept the Fairfield offense on the field with a conference-best 6.709 draw controls per outing.
 
Quinnipiac University Bobcats (5-5, 0-2 MAAC)
  • Quinnipiac most recently dropped a 14-11 decision to Sacred Heart – the Bobcats' fourth straight loss after a 5-1 start – to fall to 5-5 overall and 0-2 in the MAAC.
  • The MAAC's highest-scoring offense is led by Abby Wise with a conference-high 21 assists on her way to 41 total points.
  • Mia Delmond has netted 24 goals to pace five Bobcats with 15 or more tallies.
  • Goalkeeper Shannon Alden leads the MAAC and ranks among the top 20 nationally with a .491 save percentage.
 
Series History
  • Fairfield is 16-0 all-time against Quinnipiac.
  • The teams have met annually since 2010 – apart from the halted spring 2020 season – and played twice in both 2021 and 2023.
  • Wednesday's meeting will be the fourth straight to be held at Rafferty Stadium. It will also be the sixth in the last seven in the series to be played in Fairfield.
