EDISON, N.J. – Prophet Johnson has been named to the All-MAAC Third Team for the 2024-25 season, as announced by the conference office and voted upon by the league's 13 head coaches. Johnson leads Fairfield University Men's Basketball in points, rebounds and steals this season.

Johnson ranks 12th in the MAAC with a team-leading 13.5 points per game. He is also the MAAC's third leading rebounder with 7.7 boards per contest. The junior guard, who played last season at Southern Utah University, also slots seventh in the conference in steals with 55 swipes in 30 games and ranks among the top 20 in assists at 2.4 helpers per contest.

Johnson has recorded eight double-doubles this season – third-most in the MAAC – and has scored 20 or more points on seven occasions, including each of his last four outings.

The last Fairfield player to average at least 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for a season was Rakim Sanders, who posted 16.6 points and 8.2 boards per contest in his All-MAAC First Team campaign in 2011-12.

In MAAC play, Johnson jumps up to eighth in scoring at 14.7 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the floor against conference foes.

On Sunday, Johnson was named the MAAC Player of the Week after dropping a career-best 35 points along with 12 rebounds to guide the Stags to a win over MAAC Regular Season Champion Quinnipiac to clinch a berth in the MAAC Championship.

The Stags enter the postseason at 12-19 overall and 8-12 in the MAAC. Fairfield secured the 10th seed in the MAAC Championship and will play seventh-seeded Sacred Heart on Tuesday, March 11 at 8:30 p.m.

The winner will advance to challenge second-seeded Merrimack on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.
