Stags Trek to Boston U. for Second Consecutive Road Outing

Fairfield eyes its first win of the young season

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse heads to Boston on Wednesday, Feb. 19 for a 3:30 p.m. clash with the Terriers of Boston University. The Stags are eying their first win of the young 2025 season.
 
Fairfield University Stags (0-2, 0-0 MAAC)
  • Fairfield most recently traveled to UConn last Wednesday and was on the short side of an 18-5 final.
  • Kelly Haggerty sets the offensive pace for the Stags with four goals and two assists.
  • Haley Burns and Mary Henry have each added three goals.
 
Boston University Terriers (2-1, 0-0 Patriot)
  • After opening with a 21-6 loss to #1 Boston College – the reigning NCAA Champion – the Terriers have won back-to-back home games over Sacred Heart (7-4) and Stonehill (14-6).
  • Wednesday's game caps a season-opening, four-game homestand for the Terriers.
  • BU has been led by seven goals and two assists from Izabella Amonte.
  • Goalkeeper Natalie Aiosa boasts a .508 save percentage overall and a .667 mark during the Terriers' two-game winning streak.

  • Fairfield's win in 2022 was the Stags' first over the Terriers, who hold a 5-1 lead in the all-time series.
