EDISON, N.J. – For the second consecutive week and the fourth time overall in 2025,
Brandon Benjamin is the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week. Benjamin scored a career-high 19 points in Thursday's road victory for Fairfield University Men's Basketball at Central Connecticut State.
Benjamin tallied his career-best 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field and a 5-for-6 day at the free throw line in New Britain. He also reeled in nine rebounds with an assist and a block in the 84-70 non-conference triumph.
This season, Benjamin averages 12.8 points per game and leads the MAAC with a .580 field goal percentage. He also tops the MAAC in rebounding with 9.7 boards per contest, including 4.00 caroms per game from the offensive glass. On the defensive end, Benjamin ranks second in the conference in blocked shots with 1.58 rejections per game.
