LAST TIME OUT
Fairfield was outpaced by visiting Columbia, 106-77, on Wednesday at Mahoney Arena. The Stags were led by a career-high 19 points from
Cam Estevez, who shot 8-for-11 from the field with a pair of three pointers.
Â
In addition to Estevez's 19 points,
Deuce Turner scored 14 to mark his fourth consecutive game in doubles figures.
Declan Wucherpfennig added 13 points and dished out three assists, with
Nasir Rodriguez contributing nine points from the bench.
Â
Columbia had five players in double figures led by 23 points from Blair Thompson and 20 points with seven assists from Kenny Noland.
Â
The Lions shot 62.5% (40-64) from the floor fueled by a 55% showing (11-20) from three-point range, one game after draining a program-record 18 treys in a win over Longwood.
Â
COACH CASEY ON COLUMBIA
"Columbia outplayed us in just about every facet. It's a lesson learned as far as the level we need to be at to compete and to beat good teams."
Â
NOVEMBER REIGN
With a victory on Sunday, the Stags would have five wins in the month of November for the first time in program history.
Â
THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE WILDCATS
The New Hampshire Wildcats are 2-5 on the season, most recently falling to visiting Brown, 59-47, this past Wednesday. UNH has also lost to Clemson, Harvard, George Mason, and Providence -- all on the road. The Wildcats' two wins both came at home against Division III Curry and Emmanuel.
Â
Jack Graham leads UNH in scoring with 12.9 points per game. Belal El Shakery adds 12.1 points and a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per outing.
Â
US AND THEM
The Stags' win in Durham last season pushed their lead in the all-time series to 11-4. Fairfield and New Hampshire will meet in November for the fourth consecutive season.
Â
