Fairfield Garners Four All-MAAC Selections, Three Tabbed for First Team

Elliott, Krubally, and Walker are all on the First Team for the second straight season

EDISON, N.J. – Four student-athletes representing Fairfield University Volleyball have been named as All-MAAC performers by the coaches of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Allie Elliott, Mamie Krubally, and Maya Walker were all selected to the All-MAAC First Team for the second consecutive season. Emma Bortolotti was tabbed for the MAAC All-Rookie team.

"I'm very happy for Allie, Mamie, Maya, and Emma to be recognized by the MAAC coaches," said Head Coach Nancy Somera. "Our team has bought into a system that can occasionally mean sacrificing big statistical performances and individual accolades in favor of team success. But these four have been consistent performers for us and I'm thrilled that they are receiving All-MAAC honors for their outstanding seasons to date. We will take a moment to celebrate them today, and then turn our attention back to the larger goal, which starts with a very good Canisius team in our arena on Saturday."

Fairfield Volleyball finished the MAAC regular season at 17-1 as a part of a 23-5 overall mark. The Stags won the MAAC Regular Season Championship for the seventh consecutive season and the 24th time in the last 30 years of MAAC volleyball.

Allie Elliott is now a three-time All-MAAC First Team selection – only the seventh Stag to earn the distinction in three seasons. The senior pin hitter has appeared in all 102 sets this season, putting down 2.74 kills per frame on .281 hitting off a team-leading 727 swings. She also ranks second on the squad in digs with 2.84 per stanza on her way to eight double-doubles. Elliott fills out her statline with 33 blocks and 26 service aces. In her career, she was also a 2022 All-Rookie Team pick.

Mamie Krubally earns her second All-MAAC First Team nod playing on the right side. The junior ranks eighth in the MAAC with a team-best 2.94 kills per set and slots seventh with a .299 hitting percentage. Krubally, who has appeared in 99 sets this season to date, has had a hand in 73 blocks with 60 digs. She adds her second First Team honor to a 2024 MAAC Championship MVP selection as well as 2023 All-Rookie Team laurels.

Maya Walker picks up her second All-MAAC First Team honor in addition to All-MAAC Second Team distinction as a sophomore in 2023. This fall, the senior ranks 14th in the nation with a conference-leading 428 hitting percentage on her way to 2.04 kills per set while playing all 102 sets in the middle. Walker is also fourth in the MAAC among NCAA qualifiers with 111 total blocks and 1.09 blocks per set. Alongside her trio of career All-MAAC selections, Walker was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2022, the MAAC Championship MVP in 2023, and an All-Championship Team member in 2024.

Last season, Elliott, Krubally, and Walker became the first trio of MAAC teammates to earn All-MAAC First Team honors since Skyler Day, Megan O'Sullivan, and Megan Theiller in 2016. With this season's selection, the three Stags are the first in conference history to all earn First Team laurels in consecutive campaigns since the Fairfield trio of Liz Bower, Sara Lein, and Jen Mclaughlin in 1997 and 1998.

Rounding out this year's honorees, Emma Bortolotti collects a place on the MAAC All-Rookie Team. The two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week ranks fifth in the conference with a .312 hitting percentage, fueling her 2.37 kills per set as a right-side hitter. In her 94 sets of action, Bortolotti has been a part of 61 blocks with 40 digs.

As the MAAC Regular Season Champion, Fairfield Volleyball will host the 2025 MAAC Championship this weekend at Leo D. Mahoney Arena. The top-seeded Stags host fifth-seeded Canisius on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. The day's second semifinal will feature second-seeded Quinnipiac and third-seeded Rider at 4 p.m.

The 2025 MAAC Championship Match is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Tickets are on sale now via the MAAC ticketing platform. Admission is free for current Fairfield students to all matches featuring the Stags this weekend.
