Camille Perlov was honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as the organization's Division I Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention. The national recognition follows the forward/midfielder's selection as the NEC Offensive Player of the Week announced on Tuesday.
Perlov scored three goals in a 2-0 week for the Stags, including both game-winning goals. She opened the week with a goal in the Stags' 5-1 win at Hofstra, netting the team's first goal in the ninth minute. She followed up with a two-goal performance at Vermont, helping the Stags post a 2-1 win on the road. With her performance last week, Perlov moved into a tie for the team lead with seven goals through her 13 appearances.
The Fairfield University field hockey team, under Head Coach
Laura Gebhart, will continue regular-season play this weekend beginning with a conference road game at Mercyhurst University on Friday afternoon. The Stags will open a four-game home stand on Sunday when they welcome Rider University for another NEC match beginning at 1 pm.
