EDISON, N.J. – For the second time this season,
Mamie Krubally has been named the MAAC Player of the Week. Krubally led the offense for Fairfield University Volleyball in a 2-0 week of conference action.
In home sweeps over Marist and Siena, Krubally averaged a team-leading 3.50 kills per set on a sizzling .515 hitting from the right side. The junior added six blocks in six sets of work to also finish as the Stags' leading point scorer on the week with 4.08 per frame.
Friday's win over Marist saw the Stags post their best hitting percentage since 2013 (.443) with Krubally leading the way at .571 on her way to 10 kills. She added four blocks and two digs against the Red Foxes. The following day, Krubally rang up a team-best 11 kills at a .474 clip with two blocks and two digs as the stags dispatched Siena in straight sets.
On the season, Krubally ranks second on the Stags with 2.71 kills per set on .280 hitting. The right-side from Lucas, Texas has also compiled 49 blocks in her 65 sets of action.
Krubally was previously named MAAC Player of the Week on Sept. 16 after Fairfield's 2-1 week that included wins over Northeastern and perennial Ivy League power Yale. She was an All-MAAC First Team selection and the MAAC Championship MVP in 2024.
Winners of eight consecutive matches, the Stags are 13-4 this season with a 7-0 MAAC record. Fairfield returns to the court this weekend to welcome Iona (7-14, 2-5 MAAC) and Manhattan (2-14, 0-7 MAAC) to Mahoney Arena on Oct. 17-18.
