FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Basketball has announced the non-conference portion of the 2024-25 schedule, completing the slate for the upcoming season. Including the previously announced MAAC ledger, the Stags are set to play 14 games on campus at the Leo D. Mahoney Arena.
 
A three-game road swing opens the campaign, starting with a visit to the Ryan Center on opening night, Monday, Nov. 4, to challenge Rhode Island. The Stags and Rams are meeting for the second consecutive season and the seventh time in program history.
 
Up next, Fairfield renews its rivalry with fellow Jesuit institution Georgetown. The Saturday, Nov. 9 meeting in Washington, D.C. marks the first meeting between the two programs since 2007, also the first since former Stags' head coach Ed Cooley took the reins of the Hoyas' program.
 
The road trip concludes on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at New Hampshire. The Stags and Wildcats will be playing for the third straight season.
 
After three in a row away from home to begin the slate, the Stags ring in year three of the Leo D. Mahoney Arena with back-to-back contests on George Bisacca Court. Fairfield hosts John Jay College on Friday, Nov. 15 and then welcomes CAA contender Drexel on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
 
The Stags remain in Connecticut for the next stretch of action, heading up I-95 to Mohegan Sun Arena for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-off on Nov. 23-24. Fairfield will tangle with a pair of reigning conference champions with contests on tap against Yale and Vermont.
 
December begins with another clash at Mahoney Arena with the Stags heading back to their home court to meet FDU on Sunday, Dec. 1. Fairfield then dips into conference play, hosting the first MAAC game of the season with a Wednesday, Dec. 4 visit from Rider and then heading south to battle The Mount on Sunday, Dec. 8.
 
Following that preview of conference action, the non-league slate resumes on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Mahoney Arena with a visit from the defending regular season champion of the NEC, Central Connecticut State. The Stags and Blue Devils will meet for the first time in a decade, as well as for the first time outside of the former "Connecticut 6" format since 1999.
 
The non-conference schedule concludes with a pair of Saturday road games surrounding the Christmas holiday. First, Fairfield heads to the Shore to meet Monmouth on Dec. 21 in the first meeting between the two since the Hawks left the MAAC in 2022. Capping the ledger is a trip to New York City for an Ivy League clash with Columbia on Dec. 28.
 
The 18 remaining MAAC games fill up the 2025 calendar, beginning at conference newcomer Merrimack on Friday, Jan. 3. MAAC action returns to Mahoney Arena on the following Friday, Jan. 10 against perennial MAAC contender Iona.
 
Fairfield Men's Basketball finished with a 24-13 record in 2023-24. The Stags placed second in the MAAC regular season at 14-6 and went on to reach the MAAC Championship Game as well as the CBI Semifinals.
