FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Cross Country is set to compete in seven meets in the upcoming 2024 fall campaign. The Stags will run four meets in New York – including the 2024 MAAC Championship – as well as two in Connecticut and the NCAA Northeast Regional in New Hampshire.
The season begins on Saturday, Aug. 31, when the Stags kick off the slate at the Marist Season Opener in Poughkeepsie. Two weeks later on Saturday, Sept. 14, Fairfield treks to Twin Ponds on the Farm, the site of the 2024 MAAC Championship, to compete at the Jasper Fall XC Invite.
Action comes to Connecticut for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 21 for the Ted Owen Invitational hosted by CCSU at New Britain's Stanley Quarter Park.
Following nearly a month hiatus from competition, the Stags return to action on Friday, Oct. 18 at the IC4A/ECAC Championship at the venerable Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
The next Friday, Oct. 25, will be the final tune-up for the MAAC Championship as Fairfield returns to Stanley Quarter Park, this time running the short course for the CCSU Mini Meet.
The 2024 MAAC Championship Meet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Twin Ponds on the Farm.
The schedule concludes on Friday, Nov. 15 at the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Contoocook, N.H.
