FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Nine student-athletes representing Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse have earned academic honors for their work in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year and throughout their careers.
Bryce Ford,
Braden Lynch,
Luke Okupski and
Matt Rice all earned Academic All-District distinction from the College Sports Communicators. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must own a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while competing in the majority of their team's contests as a starter or key reserve.
Ford, who was an All-CAA Second Team honoree, was tabbed to advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
Lynch was also tabbed as New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic, joined by teammates
Jake Coleman,
Dean Ford,
Ryan Lancaster,
Danny Manning and
Reilly Sullivan.
NEILA All-Academic selections must be seniors or graduate students who have exhausted their eligibility (or do not plan to use remaining eligibility) while earning a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher as an impact player on the lacrosse field.
