DANBURY, Conn. – Claire Morris has been selected by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference as the All-ECAC Goalkeeper for the 2024 season. Morris started every game for Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse in an historic season for the Stags.
Morris – the lone goalkeeper and lone MAAC student-athlete on the All-ECAC team – was also the MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year and an All-MAAC First Team honoree. She was the backstop for a Fairfield defensive unit that led the MAAC and ranked fifth nationally with 8.47 goals allowed per game.
Individually, Morris ranked third in the nation with a MAAC-best 8.42 goals-against average while posting a .449 save percentage.
Morris earned the decision in every game as the Stags finished 16-3, including a 9-0 MAAC regular season. Fairfield was nationally ranked for the final nine weeks of the campaign, rising as high as #22 and ending the year at #23 on the national ledger. The Stags earned the first NCAA at-large bid in Fairfield and MAAC Women's Lacrosse history, with Morris making 10 saves in the First Round against #11 Johns Hopkins.
