Talluto Tallies 200th Career Point, 150th Career Goal as #25 Stags Fight Past The Mount, 11-10

Fairfield picks up its 11th consecutive win

EMMITSBURG, Md. – Back-to-back goals for Libby Rowe were the difference on Saturday at Mount St. Mary's as #25 Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse powered past The Mount, 11-10. Rowe finished the day with four goals, while Elizabeth Talluto netted a hat trick with an assist to amass her 200th career point and 150th career goal.

With the one-goal win, Fairfield improves to 11-1 on the season and 5-0 in the MAAC. The Stags have won 11 consecutive games, conceding 10 goals or fewer in all 11 of those victories. The Mount falls to 4-8 on the campaign with a 2-3 conference tally.

Talluto is only the second player in Fairfield Women's Lacrosse history to reach 150 goals and 200 points. She is second on both lists to Hall of Famer Kristen Coleman, who had 186 goals and 257 total points in just three seasons in her standout career from 2008-10.

Rowe's four goals mark her fourth consecutive hat trick. Following today's effort, the graduate student is just two points away from joining Coleman and Talluto in the 200 Point Club.

The Stags also got two goals from Kelly Haggerty and single markers from Maggie Fort and Amanda Kozak. Sarah Bucher dished out a pair of assists, with Talluto, Haggerty and Haley Burns each distributing one helper.

In the midfield, the Stags held a 12-10 edge on the draw led by six Brynn Donnelly draw controls and four from Rowe. Christine Fabrizi was also active in the midfield with three caused turnovers and four ground balls.

On the other end of the field, the MAAC's top-ranked defense was led by three caused turnovers for Julia Rigolizzo's three caused turnovers and two by Elizabeth Myers. Claire Morris made six saves in the cage.

The Mount attack was paced by four goals from Mackenzi Furlong and a hat trick by Christina Haspert. Ashlyn Watkins made seven saves in goal for the Mountaineers.

Up next, action returns to Rafferty Stadium next week for the final two home contests of the regular season with visits from Quinnipiac (April 10) and Manhattan (April 13). The Bobcats are 2-9 overall and 1-4 in the MAAC after picking up a win over Rider this afternoon.
