  • The wins marked the first-ever victories for the Stags over nationally-ranked opposition.
  • The victory over UAlbany also moved Head Coach Laura Field into sole possession of the program wins record with 93 in her career.
  • For their efforts, Elizabeth Talluto (8G, 2A) and Lindsey Barnes (10 GBs, 4 CTs) were named the MAAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

  • Hofstra was 4-12 overall and 1-6 in the CAA last spring.

Series History
  • Last year's win for the Stags at Rafferty Stadium snapped a three-game winning streak in the series for Hofstra, which leads 14-5 in a series dating back to Fairfield's first varsity campaign in 1997.
  • All five of Fairfield's wins over the Pride have come since 2012, with the series at 6-5 in favor of Hofstra during that span.
  • The teams have played annual since 2011 with the exception of the spring of 2021 in which Fairfield did not play any non-conference opponents.
