The Stags come off a split against the Red Foxes with the women edging their host by a 152-148 margin and the men coming up a few points short in a 151.5-142.5 score. The Marist meet completed four consecutive dual meets for both teams over consecutive weeks. The women's team won three of those four meets, defeating Providence, Monmouth, and Marist. The men's team split the stretch which included wins over Providence and Monmouth.

Erin Hoyland (1000, 500, 400 free) (100 and 200 back, 100 fly) and Erini Pappas each won three events against Marist on the women's side while Andrew Cataldo was a dual winner off the 1-meter (247.95) and 3-meter (277.65) boards. Elizabeth Beaulieu gained her inaugural first place finish by taking the top spot in the 3-meter with 209.93 points. She also secured third place in the 1-meter dive, helping her garner the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Co-Diver of the Week award.

This weekend's invitational will represent the swimming and diving teams final event of the fall semester. The Stags will not return to competition until they travel to the Binghamton University on January 11, the first of two straight road dates. Fairfield will also head to MAAC opponent Iona University on January 19 before returning home for its final home date of the season, a January 25 match up with UMass.
