FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Head Coach Todd Kress has announced the six student-athletes set to join Fairfield University Volleyball beginning in the fall of 2022. The group is comprised of four freshmen as well as two Division I transfers.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome these six incoming student-athletes to our program," said Kress. "They have all demonstrated the ability to produce on the court at a high level, and they are all outstanding young women who will be positive contributors to our team and campus culture as well."
 
A 5-11 outside hitter from Stewartville, Minn., Allie Elliott was an All-State performer at Stewartville High School. The Tigers reached the Section 1AAA Championship Match this past fall as the second-seeded team in the section.
 
Abby Jandro is the second Minnesota native in the Class of 2026, coming to Fairfield from Lakeville. A 5-8 setter she was a three-time All-Conference selection at Lakeville North High School. Jandro doled out more than 2,500 assists in her high school career.
 
Elliot and Jandro were teammates for Northern Lights Junior Volleyball, competing at the AAU National Championships this past year.
 
A 5-7 libero from New York City, Avery Schner has been a five-year starter and two-year captain at The Chapin School. She was named an AAIS All-Star in each of the last four seasons and was a part of the Gators' most recent AAIS regular season championship.
 
Maya Walker is a 6-1 middle from Stone Mountain, Ga., where she was named Second Team All-County at Decatur High School. She was selected as Most Valuable Player for the Bulldogs in 2021 and Offensive Player of the Year in 2019.
 
Sabria Cooper comes to Fairfield from VCU, where she played 139 sets over 44 matches over the last two years for the Rams. The 6-2 middle and right-side hitter from Oklahoma City averaged 1.93 kills per set while hitting .262 in her career. Defensively, she had a hand in 79 VCU blocks.
 
Cooper began her collegiate career at Memphis, averaging 1.74 kills and 0.67 blocks per set for the Tigers in 2019. She played scholastically at Westmoore High School, where she was an All-Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference First Team honoree in 2017 after leading the league in blocks. Cooper has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
 
A graduate transfer from Saint Louis University, Sara Daniels earned a degree in Accounting from SLU earlier this month.  In four seasons at Saint Louis, Daniels racked up 427 kills for the Billikens in 314 sets of action, swinging at a .224 clip. The 6-2 middle blocker finished her SLU career ranked 12th in program history with 291 career blocks.
 
Daniels attended high school at Calvary Day School in her hometown of Savannah, Ga. She was an All-State performer and the Region Player of the Year as a senior and won three State Championships.
 
Fairfield Volleyball won its 12th MAAC Championship and 20th MAAC Regular Season Championship in 2021, finishing the season at 24-9 overall.
