FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University women's rowing team picked up three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) boat of the week awards after competing in a tri-meet with Lehigh University and La Salle University last Saturday. The varsity 8, the 2nd varsity 8, and the varsity 4 were honored for their performances which included two first-place finishes and a runner-up run.
The Fairfield varsity 8 posted a solid time of 6:47.9 which was second to Lehigh, but ahead of La Salle in a tri-meet last weekend. The Stags' crew consisted of

The Fairfield 2nd varsity 8 shell finished its race with a time of 6:56.0 in front of Lehigh and La Salle in a tri-meet last Saturday, edging runner up Lehigh by just over one second. Fairfield's entry was comprised of Catie Lapolla,

The Fairfield A crew posted a winning time of 7:32.0 which was eight seconds better than Lehigh's time of 7:40.3 in the varsity 4 event. The race was part of a tri-meet last Saturday. The A crew included

The Stags will return to action on Saturday, April 30 when they compete at the New England Championships in Worcester, Mass.
