For the fifth time in program history, Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse heads into NCAA postseason play. The Stags will challenge #4 Boston College on Friday at 1 p.m. in the First Round at the Eagles' Newton Campus Lacrosse & Soccer Field in Newton, Mass.
Fairfield (13-1) advanced to the tournament as the MAAC Champion for the third consecutive season with a 12-8 victory over Siena on Sunday. Boston College (13-3) earned an at-large bid out of the Atlantic Coast Conference, reaching the semis in the ACC Championship before falling to #3 Syracuse.
Due to Covid-19 policies at Boston College, Friday's game is not open to the public.
