FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse will play back-to-back road games for the first time this spring, traveling to New Rochelle for a weekend set at Iona. The Stags and Gaels will meet on Friday at 3 p.m. and wrap-up the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Fairfield enters the weekend in first place in the MAAC at 6-1, looking to rebound from its first setback on the year this past Saturday against Siena. The Stags are led offensively by
Kelly Horning and
Meaghan Graham with 26 points apiece. Horning leads the team with 18 goals, while Graham has distributed a team-best 11 assists to go along with her 15 markers.

Horning also leads the way in the midfield with a conference-best 3.57 ground balls for game. She rates second in the conference with 2.43 caused turnovers per outing.

Most recently on the short side of a 19-18 home loss to Siena, Iona will begin the series with a record of 1-5. Caton Brisbin leads the Gaels in all three scoring categories with 13 goals and seven assists for 20 total points. She has posted exactly five points in each of Iona's last three outings. Emily Stewart adds 10 goals for the Gaels.

The majority of the minutes in the Iona cage have gone to Elyse Darcy, who owns a 16.20 goals-against average and a .395 save percentage in 340 minutes of work. Sydney Danseglio has entered four contests in relief, allowing four goals with four saves in her 28 minutes in the cage.

Following this weekend's series, the Stags return to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium to close out the home slate against Marist. Opening draw on Saturday, April 24 is slated for 4 p.m. as the nightcap of a doubleheader that will also see Fairfield Men's Lacrosse host CAA foe UMass at noon.
