FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse returns to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium on Monday, March 8, to cap off the MAAC season-opening series against in-state foe Quinnipiac. In Saturday's opener, the Stags used a 9-0 run over more than 28 minutes to turn a 6-4 deficit into a 13-6. The margin proved decisive as Fairfield absorbed four late Bobcats' goals to take home the 13-10 victory.
Fairfield was led offensively by four points apiece from

Kelly Horning. The Stags also benefited from a career-high nine draw controls by
Nicollette LaVista, and strong performances in the cage from the platoon of
Olivia Conquest and
Phoebe Proctor. Quinnipiac was led by five goals from Megan Szawlowski.
Quinnipiac is the first of four opponents that Fairfield will meet twice during the 2021 MAAC slate. The Stags are set for two games apiece against Manhattan, Monmouth and Iona in addition to single contests with Niagara, Canisius, Siena and Marist.
Fairfield last played the same opponent in back-to-back games in 2014, closing the regular season and then opening MAAC Championship play at Canisius.
