EDISON, N.J. – Following an unbeaten week of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action for Fairfield University Volleyball, the Stags have earned a pair of MAAC weekly honors.
Laura Seeger was tabbed as MAAC Player of the Week, and
Ella Gardiner earned MAAC Rookie of the Week laurels.
Seeger hit .316 on the outside for the Stags in 10 sets of action. She totaled 33 kills from the pins, including 15 in the week's opening win at Niagara and capping her performance with a scorching .450 outing (12-3-20) in a 3-0 sweep of Siena. The junior added four blocks to average 3.55 points per set with five digs and an assist.
Gardiner appeared in seven sets in the middle, swinging at a .440 clip with 13 kills and only two errors on 25 swings. She also had a hand in five Fairfield blocks and rounded out her statline with two digs and an assist.

Georgia Via as weekly award winners this spring.
Up next, the Stags round out the regular season with a Sunday, March 28 doubleheader at Quinnipiac. First serve from Hamden is set for noon. The Bobcats are 2-3 this spring with home splits against Manhattan and Canisius and a road loss at Iona.
