Fairfield would extend their advantage to 10 with a
Sydney Lowery 3-pointer one minute into the third quarter, setting their biggest lead of the game.
That lead would be cut to three in the closing minutes of the third quarter on a Camilla Emsbo 3-point play. Emsbo was the focal point in Yale's offense, finishing with a team-high 26 points.
Fairfield would hold that lead until the two minute mark of the game on a Lopez-Senechal driving layup that put the score at 64-60.
Yale would score the game's final 11 points with Emsbo tying the game with a layup but missing the ensuing free throw. Yale was able to collect the offensive rebound leading to another Emsbo jumper, giving the Bulldogs the lead.
