This past Saturday, the Stags fell 17-13 to perennial CAA contender Hofstra on Long Island. Cameryn Dera, Kelly Horning and Monika Sivilli each netted three goals for the Stags.

Dera's hat trick was her first as a Stag as well as her first career three-goal game. Sivilli netted three goals for the second straight game, running her team-best total to nine goals on the year. Horning, who also racked up her second consecutive hat trick, added an assist on the day for her fifth career four-point outing.

On the other end of the field, Maggie Reynolds spearheaded the effort with five ground balls and a team-high three draw controls. Horning scooped up four ground balls to go along with a pair of caused turnovers. Kennedy Slater and Hailey Durkin also each created a pair of Hofstra turnovers.

In the cage, Olivia Conquest made a career-high 16 saves to move into seventh on Fairfield's all-time list with 223 stops in her career.

Scouting Boston University
The Boston University Terriers come to Rafferty Stadium with a record of 2-2. The Terriers were most recently doubled up by Dartmouth, 16-8, in Hanover. BU has also been on the short side of a 16-6 loss to #5 Boston College with wins coming at home against Niagara (17-12) and Hartford (22-4). The Terriers went 11-7 last spring and 6-3 in the Patriot League.

Boston University has been led offensively by two-time All-Patriot League First Team attacker Kailey Conry with five goals and a team-leading 12 assists. Makenzie Irvine has been the biggest benefactor of Conry's distribution, netting a team-high 10 goals through the first four games of the campaign.

All four starts in the cage have gone to Bianca Smith, though Head Coach Lauren Morton is yet to have her goalkeeper go the distance this season. Smith owns a .370 save percentage (29 goals, 17 saves) in 133 minutes of action. Kennady Smith (no relation) has protected the goal for 77 minutes en route to a .364 save percentage (14 goals, 8 saves).

The Terriers' 16-5 win over the Stags in Boston last season moved the all-time series (2016-19) to 4-0 in their favor. Two of the encounters were decided in overtime, with BU winning 10-9 at home in 2017 and 11-10 in double overtime at Rafferty Stadium in 2018.
