BUFFALO, N.Y. – Fairfield Women's Swimming and Diving moved into first place in the MAAC Championships with 228 total points after day two of competition. Three second place finishes and a win from
Maria Nitti pushed the Stags up from fourth place and put them at the top of the pack. Canisius currently sits in second place with 194 points while Marist is in third with 189 points.
Maria Nitti took home the win in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 23.17.
Shannon Feeley and
Sara Ostensen came in second and third place respectively in the 500 Yard Freestyle as Feeley clocked in at 5:00.29 and Ostensen finished at 5:00.37.
Morgan Hansen finished in second in the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a final time of 2:05.62.

Sara Ostensen finished in second place in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:35.06.
The Stags look to build on their lead in Day 3 of the MAAC Championships tomorrow with the finals starting at 6 P.M. The women will compete in the 400 Yard Individual Medley, 100 Yard Butterfly, 200 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard Breaststroke, 100 Yard Backstroke, 3 Meter Diving, and the 400 Yard Medley Relay.
