LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse ran its winning streak to seven games and stayed unbeaten at 6-0 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) with 12-11 win at Siena on Saturday afternoon. The Stags got four points from
Kathleen Hulseman and a
Kelly Horning hat trick in the league triumph.

Following the win, Fairfield improves to 11-3 on the season. Four of the Stags' six MAAC wins have come by a one-goal margin.

With two games to play in the regular season, the Stags need one victory or one Manhattan loss (at Monmouth, at Niagara) to clinch at least a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship and top seed in the upcoming MAAC Championship. Currently, Fairfield can finish no lower than second place in the MAAC and has clinched a bye into the semifinal round of the tournament on Thursday, May 2.

Siena falls to 9-6 on the year with a 5-2 league tally.

Hulseman's four-point day included a hat trick – her ninth multi-goal effort of the spring – and one assist. The senior also scooped up three ground balls in the midfield.

For Horning, her hat trick was her third straight. She ran her season total to 22 points, marking the third consecutive season that seven Stags have reached the 20-point plateau. Horning was a force across the entire field this afternoon, scooping up a career-best seven ground balls with three caused turnovers.

Brooke Gallagher and
Meaghan Graham added identical statlines of one goal and one assist apiece. The Stags' final three goals of the day came from
Kelly Gordon,
Cameryn Dera and
Taylor Mitchell. Mitchell's team-leading 32nd marker of the spring came with just 2:16 to play and stood up as the game-winning goal.

Rounding out the scoring,
Diana DeVita dished out one assist to extend her scoring streak to nine consecutive games.

Maggie Reynolds did her part to keep the Stags on the attack with six draw controls. Gallagher won five restarts for Fairfield as the visitors claimed a 17-7 advantage on the draw.

In the cage,
Olivia Conquest made nine saves to earn her 11th win. The rookie goalkeeper also corralled three ground balls.

Siena was led offensively by hat tricks from Kaitlyn Dowsett and Annie Brennan. Sammy Horton made 15 saves for the Saints.

Fairfield will conclude the regular season next week with back-to-back home games on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium. First up, the Stags welcome Iona on Wednesday, April 17 for a 3 p.m. opening draw.
