Last Time Out
Points were at a premium this past Saturday at Rafferty Stadium as Fairfield was on the short side of an -4 decision to visiting Rutgers. The Stags were led by freshman James Corasaniti in the cage with 12 saves, two ground balls and a caused turnover. The unit in front of him – captained by starting defensemen Andrew Murrow, George Elmquist and Sean Sweeney – slowed a potent Rutgers attack that came into the day averaging more than 12 goals per game.

Guiding the attack was Travis Ford, who netted a pair of fourth-quarter goals to keep the Stags in the hunt. The Stags' defense and midfield play also contributed to the scoring as Frankie Labetti went coast-to-coast after a faceoff win to score his first goal of the season, and Kendall Keahey came up from the defensive midfield to find Brian Reda for a first-half marker.

Scouting Siena
Fairfield's former MAAC Lacrosse rival Siena is 1-1 this season with a 22-12 loss to Hobart and, most recently, a 16-15 overtime win over UMass Lowell on Feb. 23. The Saints have been led by Keenan Cook (7g, 3a) and Mike Reilly (6g, 4 a) with 10 points apiece. The majority of the minutes in the cage have gone to Aaron Lewis, who owns a 14.04 goals-against average and .476 save percentage with with 22 goals allowed and 20 saves in 94 minutes of work.

All-Time Series
The Stags are 6-1 all-time with six straight wins over Siena in a series that has been dormant since Fairfield left the MAAC following the 1999 campaign. The seven meetings came in Fairfield's first seven years as an NCAA varsity program from 1993-99.
