CONWAY, S.C. – Fairfield men's tennis dropped the decision in their match against Coastal Carolina by a score of 0-4.
The Stags could not pick up the Doubles point falling in #1 and #3 Doubles but fought their way through Singles competition.
In Singles,
Jeffrey Rodgers was in the third set against Daiki Tanabe (6-2, 3-6, 0-1) before going unfinished and
John Hatala was also in the third set against Cori Gamero (6-0, 3-6, 0-1) but the match was unfinished.
"We played with a ton of heart and intensity today" said Head Coach
Jeff Bricker. "I'm very happy with the effort level. Our Doubles is still a work in progress, but we are competing in singles. If we would have finished in Singles, I felt pretty good about Jeff and John pulling out 3 set wins. We will look to finish on a high note on Thursday."
Fairfield will return to the court on Thursday as they take on South Carolina State at 1 P.M.
