CHARLESTON, S.C. – Fairfield women's tennis fought hard against the College of Charleston but ultimately fell by a score of 1-6. 
 
The Stags dropped the Doubles point early falling at #1 and #3 Doubles.  Amanda Nowak was leading 4-3 at #2 Doubles before it went unfinished. 
 
Emily Lombardi tallied the lone win in Singles competition as she took down Ava Turner (6-2, 6-0) at #6 Singles. 
 
"We came out a little low energy in Doubles but started to pick up energy as the Doubles went on" said Head Coach Jeff Bricker. "They're a very strong team but we competed well. Emily played great to grab the win at 6."
 
Fairfield will return to action on Tuesday as they stay in South Carolina to take on Coastal Carolina at 9 A.M.
