HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Fairfield women's tennis dropped a 2-5 decision on the road against Hofstra today.
The Stags were not able to win the Doubles point early as they fell in both #1 and #3 Doubles.
Emily Lombardi and
Aina March did pick up a Doubles win at the #2 spot defeating Katherine Kachkarov and Alejandra Ruffini 6-4.
Fairfield was able to tally two wins in Singles play.
Diana Prinos took down Jasmine King (6-2, 6-7, 6-2) at #3 Singles while
Paulina Bakaite defeated Maddie Brown (2-6, 7-5, 6-0) in #2 Singles.

Jeff Bricker "Most of the matches were very close. We still aren't firing on all cylinders yet, but we will get there with more hard work. I'm hopeful we can learn from this match and get ready for Sacred Heart on Monday. Diana & Paulina both had great 3 set wins today against very good opponents!"
Fairfield will return to action on Monday, October 14 at 11:30 A.M. as they host Sacred Heart on the Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts.
