PULA, Croatia – Fairfield Volleyball Assistant Coach
Julia Anderson heads to Pula, Croatia this week for the 14th annual Global Challenge. Anderson is the Head Coach of the USANY U17 team that begins competition on July 10.
The USANY roster is comprised of 10 of the top high school volleyball student-athletes in the New York/New Jersey area, all of whom are poised for collegiate careers in the near future. Anderson is the head coach of this year's squad after serving as an assistant for U.S. Olympic silver medalist Debbie Green at the event in 2017.
USANY's pool in the tournament includes China's renowned Tianjin Club as well as teams representing Hungary and Latvia. In preparation for the event, Anderson and her team has been training in Finland with a local team that will also be competing in Pula this week.
