WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Fairfield women's tennis started the day off well in Doubles competition but could not hold their lead in Singles as they fell 2-5 to Marist this afternoon. 
 
Anna Komer and Diana Prinos started off with a win in #1 Doubles over Sam Galu and Amy Galloway 6-0.  Emily Lombardi and Jessica Pil then won in #2 Doubles 6-4 over Chloe Lant and Sophia Moeller to secure the Doubles competition point. 
 
The Stags battled in Singles competition as Anna Komer won in #3 Singles (7-5, 6-3) against Sophia Moeller but they could not garner another win.  Emily Lombardi fell in three sets at #2 Singles (6-7, 6-3, 10-12) against Claire Schmitz while Jessica Pil also went three sets with Sam Galu but was bested (3-6, 6-1, 4-6) in #4 Singles. 
 
Fairfield will finish their regular season in Loudonville, N.Y. on Saturday at 12 P.M. as they take on MAAC opponent Siena.
