PHILADELPHIA, PA. -- The Fairfield University men's rowing team competed at the Kerr Cup this afternoon with the Stags sending both of its entries in the varsity 4 B making the final. The lightweight 8 also took second place in its final during the event.
In the varsity 4 B, the Stags' A entry took second place in its heat with a time of 7:50.03, sandwiched between Lafayette's top time (7:47.72) and Trinity's third-place finish (7:57.25). The B boat crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 8:19.41 with Delaware winning the race (7:47.42) and Loyola, Md. securing second place (8:09.72). Both times were good enough to reach the final during which the A crew finished fourth in 8:03.23 and the B crew took sixth in 8:17.01.

The lightweight varsity 8 secured second place in the final by finishing the race in 7:01.77, just off the pace set by Delaware A (6:55.37) but ahead of Delaware B (7:03.10). Fairfield's entry included Chris Lamberti, Max Vazquez,

Liam Creegan,
Mark Soldatic,
Gregory Coppola,
Seamus O'Brien,
Garrett White, and coxswain
Alyssa McNally.
The varsity 4 also reached its respective final after a strong showing in its heat, taking second place with a time of 7:28.27 which qualified for the final. In the heat, Lafayette finished first in 7:26.50 while Army West Point secured third place following its run of 7:30.85.

Matt Marshall advanced to the final and took second place by timing out in 7:28.27.Lafayette A won the event in 7:25.64 while Fordham took third place with its time of 7:29.19.
The lightweight 4 also competed and collected a fifth place finish by rowing the course in 7:31.85. Temple A secured the top spot with a time of 7:00.11, just ahead of Temple B's run of 7:00.44. The Stags' grouping included
