FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse concludes the non-conference portion of the 2018 schedule this Wednesday, March 14 with a visit from Boston University. Opening draw on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium is slated for 3 p.m. All of the action will be broadcast by the Stags Sports Network on Facebook Live with J.J. Duke and Allison Gaskins on the call.

Admission is free for all fans for all Fairfield Women's Lacrosse regular season home games this spring.

The Stags most recently took the field this past Sunday, March 11, falling to visiting Lehigh by a count of 12-11. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Fairfield (4-3).  All three of the Stags' losses this spring have been by a single goal. Meaghan Graham had a career-high five points (three goals, two assists) on day and Brenna Connolly added a hat trick with one assist. On the season, Connolly leads the Stags with 14 goals, 11 assists and 25 total points.

Boston U. has won the only two prior meetings in the series. The Terriers topped the Stags, 13-8, in 2016 and claimed a 10-9 overtime decision last spring.

The Terriers are out to a 1-3 start to their 2018 campaign. Boston U. has posted a win over UMass Lowell with losses to #4/6 Boston College, #14/16 Duke and a Johns Hopkins team that was unranked at the time of their meeting last Wednesday but entered the IWLCA poll at #24 this week. The Terriers were tabbed for fourth in the Patriot League Preseason Coaches' Poll following a 10-8 season in 2017 that ended in the PL Semifinals.

Kailey Conry leads the BU attack through four contests with nine goals and 12 assists. Her supporting cast has shared the wealth on the offensive end with 10 Terriers boasting between two and eight points thus far in 2018.

Head Coach Liz Robertshaw has platooned a pair of goalkeepers thus far with Bianca Smith starting the first two games in the cage (.413 save pct., 13.64 GAA) and Christine Laible getting the call for the two most recent outings (.365 save pct., 19.79 GAA). Liable is the younger sister of First Team All-MAAC defender Melissa Laible '16, who started 18 games for Fairfield's 2015 MAAC Championship Team as a part of her four-year career with the Stags.
