Every Fairfield Basketball Home Game in 2018-19 to Air on ESPN Family of Networks

The Stags Sports Network will produce 24 broadcasts on ESPN3 or ESPN+

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – All 24 Fairfield University Basketball home games throughout the 2018-19 season will be broadcast on the ESPN Family of Networks. The Stags Sports Network will produce all 12 men's and all 12 women's home contests for either ESPN3 or ESPN+ as part of a conference-wide partnership between ESPN and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

"The Stags Sports Network has made greats strides this fall, broadcasting 35 home events to date," said Zach Dayton, Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Communications. "We look forward to taking the next step this basketball season by delivering all 24 home games to our fans via the ESPN family of networks."

The current schedule features 13 Fairfield Basketball games on ESPN+ and 10 airing on ESPN3. In addition, the March 1 men's game between Fairfield and Marist on George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall is eligible for selection as the MAAC Wildcard Game and may be chosen for broadcast on ESPNU. Otherwise, it will be tabbed for either ESPN+ or ESPN3. The specific broadcast platform for all games is designated by ESPN and is subject to change.

Bob Heussler, known to many as a radio personality at WFAN, will return as the play-by-play voice of Fairfield Men's Basketball. Heussler will once again be joined by Fairfield Athletics Hall of Famer Joe DeSantis '79.

Fairfield Women's Basketball broadcasts will be headed by the veteran presence of John Cummings. New to the Stags Sports Network team but familiar to Fairfield Basketball fans is Kate Abromovitch '93. The Fairfield Athletics Hall of Famer will join Cummings on the call for the Stags' home ESPN broadcasts.

The 2018-19 broadcast slate tips off on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Webster Bank Arena with a doubleheader against LIU Brooklyn. The women start the action at 5 p.m. followed by the Fairfield men challenging the visiting Blackbirds at 7:30 p.m. Both games will air on ESPN+.
