SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The Fairifeld University men's rowing team sent four teams into competition at the Head of the Fish on Saturday afternoon. The Stags placed entires in the lightweight 4, the novice 8, the collegiate 4, and the varsity 8 with the lightweight crew returning with a second-place finish.
The lightweight 4 rowed consistently throughout the race and made several strong runs before finishing runner up to the Rhode Island Rowing Club, which won the race with a time of 11:54.32. The Stags were second with their time of 12:26.31.

The novice 8 secured eighth place in its event by crossing the finish line in 11:49.80. Tufts won the event with a time of 11:01.53, followed by Marist (11:02.23), and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (11:08.42). The boat was comprised by Rob Caola, Chris Lamberti,

The varsity 4 took its spot in the top three this afternoon by rowing a competitive race that ended with the Stags clocking in at 12:23.08 behind Marist (11:51.86), and Rutgers (12:00.27). The shell consisted of

Matt Marshall.
The varsity 8 rowed against a highly competitive field that finished with Fairfield securing 16th place in the competition. Marist won the event with a time of 11:08.39, while Trinity and Ithaca rounded out the top 3 with times of 11:10.93 and 11:20.09, respectively. The Stags crew included
