The Stags won the first game by an 11-0 score in five innings and followed up with a 4-3 victory in the second contest.
The Stags scored all they would need in the bottom of the first inning of game one, taking advantage of three Saint Peter's errors. Fairfield scored five runs in the inning off two hits with Robinson delivering a three-run homer to close the scoring. Lauren Filicia also had a hit in the inning, a leadoff single.
Fairfield added two more runs in the second inning, a rally that started when Tori Reed was hit by a pitch. After taking second on a wild pitch, Sam Frungillo delivered a two-run homer over the right field fence to push the score to 7-0. The Stags would finish their offensive output with four runs in the third inning as Sammy Ruffolo picked up an RBI ground out for the team's eighth run. Reed would collect a sacrifice fly while Robinson would stroke an RBI single in the inning.
Lauren Falkanger earned the win with a one-hitter, a lead off bunt by Nicole Feoli in the fourth inning which she would beat out. Falkanger would walk one batter and strikeout five hitters while facing the minimum 15 batters in the game.
In the next game, Saint Peter's would use the long ball to stay close with the Stags. Lee Harrison put the Peacocks on the board for the first time with a solo home run in the top of the second when she launched a two-run homer to left field. Fairfield cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the inning after Mackenna DiGuillio sent a single to the outfield which scored two runs, the second coming off a throwing error.
Saint Peter's grabbed the lead in the fourth inning, courtesy of a two-run homer from Harrison, making the score 3-2. Fairfield tied the game in the inning when Robinson's double brought Gianna Kinhofer all the way from first base for a 3-3 tie.
The game remained tied until the sixth inning when Kinhofer led off with a double. Robinson's sacrifice bunt sent Kinhofer to third, setting up an RBI ground out by Nicole Capra which brought home the deciding run.
Nicole Gardon earned the win in relief of starting pitcher Destinee Pallotto to record her first victory of the season.
Fairfield will close out the weekend on Sunday with a road doubleheader against Siena College.
