FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University men's basketball team will host the College of the Holy Cross on Wednesday, November 20 at Webster Bank Arena. The game tips off at 7 pm and is part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Tip Off Classic, the second of four games that Fairfield will play in this tournament. The tournament will conclude this weekend when Fairfield takes on defending national champion University of Louisville on November 23 and either the University of North Carolina or the University of Richmond on November 24. Both of those games will be played at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Holy Cross (1-2 overall) will play its second game of the Naismith Hall of Fame Tip Off tonight as well, coming off a 62-54 loss to the University of North Carolina in its first game of the in-season tournament. The Crusaders share one common opponent with Fairfield so far this season, posting a 122-118 overtime win over Sacred Heart to account for their first win of the season. Cullen Hamilton led all Holy Cross scorers with 35 points while Dave Dudzinski (26 points, 15 rebounds) and Malachi Alexander (23 points, 13 rebounds) each registered a double-double in the game. Dudzinski is the team leader in both scoring (20.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.7 rpg) while Hamilton (17.3 ppg) and Alexander (14.3 ppg) are also scoring in double figures.

Fairfield (1-2 overall) comes off a 59-52 setback to Loyola University, Md., the first time that the two teams met as non-conference opponents since the 1981-82 season. Freshman Doug Chappell came off the bench to score 16 points to lead the Stags in scoring, the second straight game in which a rookie led the team in scoring. K.J. Rose netted a team-best 14 points against Hartford in the second game of the season. Chappell took over the scoring lead from Rose on the cumulative scoring statistics, as the freshmen are scoring 9.0 and 8.3 points per game, respectively.

Fans have the opportunity to help out the Bridgeport community by participating in one of the game promotions on Wednesday night. Fans who donate a new or gently worn coat will receive a ticket voucher for free admission to any future home game. The game is also Take A Kid to the Game Night where children 12 and under will receive a $5 ticket with any regular-priced adult ticket. Fans can take advantage of this promotion by using the promo code TAKG at the Webster Bank Arena box office.

And, the Hooks for Books promotion will continue at the Holy Cross game as well. The student selected during the game must make three (3) hook shots from outside the paint in 10 seconds.
