Before Fairfield
Doug Chappell comes to Fairfield University via Episcopal High School where he averaged just over 14 points per game in his senior season and also posted an assist and a rebound per outing. He tallied 20 or more points in five games as a senior, including a season-high 27 points against Benedictine. He followed up that game with a 24-point effort in the season finale. He capped his senior season at Episcopal by earning the William Caskie Watts Award for Most Valuable Player for basketball.
