FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The men's basketball team will play its second Big East team in as many games when it travels to DePaul University on Tuesday, November 27 for a 9 pm tip-off. The game will be televised on ESPN3.

The Stags bring a 3-3 record into Tuesday's game after a 66-47 setback against Providence College. Derek Needham led the way with 18 points which included four three-point field goals. Amadou Sidibe made four of six field goal attempts for nine points to pace the reserves.

Fairfield remains in its month-long road trip, playing its seventh straight game away from  Webster Bank Arena. The Stags will add one more to that total this weekend when they head to Austin Peay University for a December 1 match up. The team will come home for its first home game on December 7 against Canisius College beginning at 7 pm.

Needham remains the team's top scorer with 12.7 points per game, and is the top three-point shooter with 15 long-range field goals. Desmond Wade is one of the leaders in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) with 32 assists in six games (5.3 per outing). Keith Matthews is the team's top rebounder with 5.3 caroms every forty minutes, although Amadou Sidibe is a very close second with a 5.0 rebounding average.

The Blue Demons look to even up their record after dropping two games in Cancun, Mexico as part of the Cancun Challenge. DePaul fell to Wichita State and Western Kentucky in Mexico after playing the first two games of the tournament at home against Gardner Webb (L, 71-59) and Austin Peay (W, 98-67). Cleveland Melvin is one of three DePaul student-athletes in double figures, averaging a team-best 18.6 points per game. Brandon Young (15.6 ppg) and Moses Morgan (10.6 ppg) are also scoring in double digits. Young is the team's top passer with 19 assists, while Melvin has a team-best 14 steals.
