Volleyball Hosts MAAC Foes Loyola and Rider This W

Fairfield, which has taken three of its first four MAAC matches, continues league play and kicks off a six-match homestand with Loyola and Rider this weekend. The Stags host Loyola at 2pm on Saturday and Rider at 2pm on Sunday.

Fairfield (6-8; 3-1 MAAC) vs. Loyola (5-12; 2-2 MAAC): Fairfield has taken 14 straight matches from Loyola, including a pair of 3-0 victories last season. The Stags are 24-6 all-time against the Greyhounds with Loyola's last victory coming on November 19, 2002. Lauren Balmert averages 2.30 digs with 15 total blocks against Loyola while Haililani Pokipala averages 2.48 digs per set.

Fairfield vs. Rider (4-13; 2-3 MAAC): The Stags have won the last three meetings with the Broncs and 10 of the last 11. The Stags are 17-3 all-time against Rider which last defeated Fairfield in 2009. Lauren Balmert averages 2.19 digs with 12 blocks against the Broncs while Haililani Pokipala has collected 54 digs, 32 kills, and 12 aces during her career against Rider. Offensively, Brianna Dixion averages 3.18 kills per set against the Broncs.

Fairfield vs. the MAAC in Alumni Hall: Since 2003, Fairfield has a 57-5 overall record against the MAAC in Alumni Hall.
Big Blocker: Senior Kendal Dirkin is five block assists away from checking into the Stags' top-10 and tying Kim Thomas for tenth all-time at Fairfield with 177.
