MAAC Tournament Championship Set Between Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The 2011 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament championship game is set as top-seeded Fairfield University and sixth-seeded Manhattan College will play for the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. The game is set for Monday, November 7 at noon and will be played at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla.

The Stags advanced as a result of a 3-1 win over fifth-seeded Marist College on Sunday afternoon, while the Jaspers made the title game with a 1-0 double overtime victory over second-seeded Iona College. Fairfield and Manhattan met on the final weekend of the MAAC regular season with the Stags coming out with a 2-0 win at Lessing Field.
