The Fairfield University women's basketball team plays its first road game of the season on Sunday, when it travels to Easton, Pa. to take on Lafayette College at 1 p.m.  Fans can hear the game live on WVOF 88.5 FM as John Cummings calls all the action.  Lafayette will offer livestats and an on-line video stream of the game here.

The Stags are 3-1 on the year, having fallen to Rhode Island in its last outing.  Sophomore Katelyn Linney, the reigning MAAC Player of the Week, has led the Stags in scoring in each of the last three games, and is second in the conference at 19.5 points per game.  She leads the league in field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage and three-point field goals made, through November 26.

Junior Taryn Johnson and sophomore Laura Vetra are fourth (8.3) and sixth (7.3) in the league in rebounding respectivily.  The duo has helped Fairfield to a +1 rebounding margin thus far on the year, as the team is averaging 37.8 caroms a contest, second in the league.

Fairfield is 4-0 against Lafayette all-time, defeating the Leopards at home last season, 52-29.  The first three victories in the series, Fairfield was under the direction on Dianne Nolan, who is now in her first season at the helm of the Leopards.  Shireyll Moore is another familiar face on the Leopards bench, where she serves as an assistant coach, after playing four seasons at Fairfield.

The Leopards are 2-3 on the year, falling to Monmouth 68-54 on the road on Friday.  LaKeisha Wright is the team's leading scorer, averaging 13.4 points per game, the only player over nine a contest entering Sunday's contest.  Lafayette is out-rebounding its opponents 45.2-41.0 a game on the year.
