Volleyball Travels To Fordham For Non-League Match

Fairfield will play its final non-league contest on Wednesday at Fordham. The Rams will have GameTracker and Live Video available for the match.

Fairfield (8-13) vs. Fordham (12-14): The Rams and the Stags met last season in New York with Fordham pulling out the 3-2 (22-25, 25-20, 14-25, 25-17, 15-9). Haililani Pokipala notched a double-double of the year with 10 kills and 15 digs while Lauren Balmert had a double-double with 35 assists and 15 digs. Lauren Hughes has 11 kills. Defensively, Kara Reis had a match-high 21 digs, Stephanie Cruz had 14 and Brianna Dixion added 12 digs. Fairfield has dropped the last two meetings with Fordham and the all-time series is now deadlocked at 11-11.

Fordham Facts: The Rams have lost four straight matches and have gone winless in six of the last eight. Kailee May leads the team with 3.16 kills per set which is also good for fourth in the A-10. Christi Griffiths leads the team with 0.75 blocks per set and averages 2.24 kills while Katie Wells averages 0.61 blocks per set and 2.53 kills.

Up Next: The Stags then return home for the first of four-straight MAAC matches in Alumni Hall. They begin with Iona on Saturday, October 23 and Rider on October 24.
