Drew Kingsley ’07 returned to his alma mater as a member of the External Relations team in November of 2014. His current role is focused on overseeing all content developed and distributed by the External Relations team to celebrate the Fairfield Stags story and gain visibility across a variety of platforms.

Kingsley is the primary communications and media contact for Fairfield men's basketball, volleyball, men's and women's lacrosse, cross country, tennis and golf. In addition to his direct sport responsibilities, Kingsley coordinates social media strategy, develops graphic content for print and online usage and oversees the stylistic elements of FairfieldStags.com. He is also closely connected to the marketing and communications efforts of the University as a whole, coordinating and creating athletics content for fairfield.edu, News at Fairfield, Fairfield Magazine and other University publications.

Kingsley was integral to the redesign of FairfieldStags.com in partnership with SIDEARM Sports and was a key contributor to marketing initiatives including the NACMA award-winning re-launch of Lucas the Stag. He was also a part of the communications and operations staff for the 2021 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championships at Pratt & Whitney Stadium, the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals at Pratt & Whitney Stadium, the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Bridgeport Regionals at Webster Bank Arena and the 2016 Major League Lacrosse Semi-Final held at Rafferty Stadium. In his first year at Fairfield, Kingsley served as the primary media contact for the 2015 CAA Men's Lacrosse Championship and was instrumental in the formal dedication of Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, an event that included a doubleheader broadcast live to a national audience on SNY and ESPN3.

As Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at the University of New Haven, Kingsley helped oversee the Chargers’ 16 NCAA Division II varsity programs. In addition to the daily operations of the Athletic Communications office, he was integral in the development of the department’s broadcast entity – NewHavenChargers.com – and social media strategy. During his tenure from August of 2012 to November of 2014, New Haven expanded its broadcast ventures to include every home game in nine sports, with Kingsley recruiting and mentoring a staff of New Haven students in all aspects of production. He was also behind the microphone for over 100 New Haven athletic events during his career and served as the play-by-play voice of three Northeast-10 Conference Volleyball Championships and the 2013 Northeast-10 Baseball Championship.

Kingsley garnered prior professional experience at the Division I level at both Yale University and Lafayette College. He began his career at Southern Connecticut State University during the 2007-08 academic year.

Kingsley graduated from Fairfield in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. He is a native of Wallingford, Connecticut and resides in Northford with his wife Sarah, their son Jack and daughter Rowan.
