Meika Wagner joined Fairfield University Volleyball in the summer of 2025 as an Assistant Coach. Wagner was a two-time All-American at the University of Southern California and brings over 15 years of professional playing experience and more than a decade of high-level coaching to the Stags’ sidelines.

Wagner comes to Fairfield after three years as the Technical Director and Juniors Coach at Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club in Oklahoma. She coached previously at the Division I level at the University of Idaho for three seasons and held various positions at the club level in the Republic of San Marino.

Wagner began her coaching career after more than 15 years as a professional volleyball player throughout Europe. She competed in Italy, Germany, Spain and Switzerland, including a tenure in Italy’s Serie A1, one of the top professional leagues in Europe. Wagner was also a member of the USA Women’s National Volleyball Team from 1996-98.

A standout at USC from 1991-94, Wagner was a two-time AVCA All-America and All-Region selection and a three-time All-Pac-10 honoree. She ranks among the all-time leaders for the Women of Troy in kills, hitting percentage and blocks to help guide USC to four NCAA postseason appearances capped by a trip to the Regional Finals in 1994. Fairfield Head Coach Nancy Somera was an assistant in Pasadena throughout Wagner's playing career.
Wagner graduated from USC in 1995 with a degree in Political Science.

Off the court, Wagner has utilized her proficiency in five languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and German) to serve as a translator and interpreter at the FINA World Masters Championships. She has also worked for over a decade in the fashion industry.
